Walker County, TN — A motorcycle crash involving three vehicles occurred on GA-1 at Chambers Road around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), a gray Chevrolet Traverse traveling north turned left in front of a gray Suzuki motorcycle heading south.
The Traverse also collided with a silver Chrysler van that was stopped at the stop sign on Chambers Road.
Authorities said the driver of the Traverse fled the scene on foot but was later identified by witnesses and located at her residence.
The motorcycle rider was unresponsive at the scene and was transported to Erlanger Medical Center for treatment.
Officials reported that the driver of the Traverse was found to be intoxicated and has been charged with DUI, hit and run, and serious injury by motor vehicle.
GSP indicated that the investigation is ongoing and lane closures were in effect during the response.
