OAK GROVE, Ky. (WSMV) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured and flown to a Nashville hospital after a crash while evading police on Fort Campbell Boulevard Friday night.
According to the Oak Grove Police Department, officers attempted to stop a reckless motorcycle around 8:30 p.m., but the rider fled, prompting officers to terminate the pursuit.
Authorities reported that the motorcyclist was later spotted speeding on Fort Campbell Boulevard, where he collided with a truck making a turn from Segler Drive.
Fort Campbell EMS transported the rider to a helicopter, which then airlifted him to a Nashville hospital for further treatment.
No fatalities were reported, and the circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation. The scene prompted temporary lane closures as crews responded.
