CLERMONT, Fla. —
A motorcyclist was hospitalized following a crash that closed southbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike in Clermont on Tuesday.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported the incident occurred just after 10:30 a.m. on Hancock Road between State Road 50.
The crash involved a single motorcycle. The rider was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
Southbound lanes were reopened at 11:30 a.m.
Authorities did not disclose details regarding the cause of the crash.
