COLUMBIA COUNTY, Wis. – A 71-year-old man died in a crash Saturday afternoon on County Highway J in Dekorra Township.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office reported the incident occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. between County Highway CS and Koltes Road.
The crash involved a southbound SUV and a northbound motorcycle. Authorities stated the SUV crossed the center line, resulting in a near head-on collision.
The 19-year-old driver of the SUV sustained no injuries. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, and authorities are withholding his identity pending notification of family.
Emergency services responded promptly, and the accident remains under investigation.
