COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KOAA) — A motorcycle crash on W Las Vegas Street resulted in one fatality early Saturday, according to Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
Emergency responders arrived at the 0 block of W Las Vegas Street at approximately 1:15 a.m. to find a motorcycle traveling west in oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with an eastbound vehicle.
The motorcycle rider died at the scene; authorities have not yet released his identity.
CSPD’s Major Crash Team is conducting the investigation, and preliminary findings indicate that speed was a contributing factor.
Davis Mortuary owners, former Pueblo County Coroner, in custody
According to the 10th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, Christopher and Brian Cotter, owners of Davis Mortuary, were arrested Thursday morning and booked into the Pueblo County Jail.
