GAITHERSBURG, MD — A motorcycle collision resulted in a fatality Saturday night, May 16, 2026, at approximately 9:43 p.m. in Gaithersburg.
Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services responded to the scene involving a vehicle and a motorcycle. First responders located an adult male motorcyclist suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities reported no additional injuries at the scene, and the driver of the vehicle remained on-site. The Collision Reconstruction Unit is conducting an investigation into the incident. A news release will be provided when further details are available.
