A motorcyclist died following a crash on I-95 South near the Fairfield rest area on Sunday night, according to State Police.
Troopers reported that 37-year-old Jose Bautista Soto was riding his motorcycle when he collided with the rear of a car around 10:30 p.m. Bautista Soto was ejected and the motorcycle fell onto its side.
He was transported to Bridgeport Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Both vehicles involved were towed from the scene.
Authorities did not disclose the conditions of the car’s driver or passengers. The investigation is ongoing.
