FAIRLEE, Vt. —
A Bradford man is dead following a motorcycle crash on U.S. Route 5 late Thursday night.
Sixty-six-year-old Glen Watkins was traveling north when he missed a curve and struck a telephone pole at approximately 10:45 p.m., according to Vermont State Police.
Emergency responders from the Bradford and Fairlee Fire Departments, along with Upper Valley Rescue, provided medical assistance; however, Watkins was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said that speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors in the incident, which remains under investigation.
