DICKINSON MAN DIES IN MOTORCYCLE CRASH WEST OF TAYLOR
TAYLOR — A 55-year-old man from Dickinson died in a motorcycle rollover crash on Old Highway 10 west of Taylor on Tuesday evening.
The incident occurred around 8:14 p.m. MT in the 9500 block of Old Highway 10. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the rider was operating a 1991 Harley-Davidson westbound when he lost control.
Authorities reported that the motorcycle veered off the roadway to the north, re-entered, then overcorrected before again leaving the road. The vehicle rolled in the north ditch, ejecting the rider, who suffered life-threatening injuries.
Emergency responders transported the victim to CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Officials stated he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Road and weather conditions were dry at the time of the incident. The North Dakota Highway Patrol is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Stark County Sheriff’s Office, Richardton EMS, and the Taylor Volunteer Fire Department.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification. The investigation remains ongoing.
