LENAWEE CO., Mich. — A motorcycle crash in Lenawee County resulted in a fatality Friday evening, according to authorities.
The incident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on N. Steer Street (US 127) in Addison. A 63-year-old man from Brooklyn, Michigan, was riding southbound when his motorcycle was struck from behind by an SUV driven by a 24-year-old woman from Portage, Michigan.
Officials confirmed the motorcyclist died at the scene despite wearing a helmet. The driver of the SUV was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities suspect alcohol was a factor in the collision, which is currently under investigation.
