LINEFORK, Ky. – A motorcycle crash on Route 1103 in Linefork claimed the life of a 67-year-old man on Wednesday, October 4, at approximately 5:30 p.m.
According to Kentucky State Police, the motorcycle, operated by Charles Bentley of Linefork, veered off the road and collided with a tree. Bentley and his 41-year-old female passenger received initial treatment at the scene before being airlifted to Johnson City Medical Center for their injuries.
Authorities reported that Bentley was pronounced dead on Friday, October 6, at the hospital. An autopsy has been scheduled, with toxicology results pending. Both riders were wearing helmets during the incident.
The investigation is ongoing, with Collision Reconstruction conducted by Trooper Jarron Moore.
