CLAY COUNTY, Mo. — A 53-year-old Minnesota man died in a motorcycle crash Thursday afternoon on southbound Interstate 35.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. The motorcycle veered off the left side of the roadway and struck a guardrail.
The rider was ejected and came to rest in the left lane. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
All southbound lanes of I-35 were closed near Pleasant Valley Road for investigation and cleanup efforts.
