Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in Route 611 Crash in Northampton County.

A motorcyclist died Sunday evening following a collision on Route 611 in Williams Township, officials said.

The victim was identified as 48-year-old Nathan G. Giamoni, who was pronounced dead at the scene by the Northampton County Coroner’s Office. Troopers from Pennsylvania State Police responded to the incident shortly after 7 p.m. in the 200 block of South Delaware Drive.

Authorities reported that Giamoni was traveling south on a 2014 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he lost control. A 57-year-old male driver from East Bangor in a 2024 Volvo SUV was traveling north at the time of the incident.

Police stated that Giamoni was thrown from his motorcycle, which then slid into the northbound lane, where it was subsequently struck by the oncoming Volvo. Both vehicles caught fire due to the collision. Giamoni was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to Trooper Nathan Branosky.

The SUV driver and a 55-year-old passenger sustained injuries and were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital-Anderson in Bethlehem Township. The passenger’s injuries appeared minor, while the driver’s condition remains unknown.

The Pennsylvania State Police in Belfast are continuing the investigation into the incident. No further details have been released.
