FAIRFAX, Va. — A motorcyclist died in a collision with a semi-truck on Route 29 on May 19 around 2 p.m.
Officers from the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) responded to the crash in the 12800 block. The motorcyclist, identified as 22-year-old Mikhail Perry of Fairfax, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident involved a 2005 Ducati motorcycle and a 2016 Mack Semi Truck. Preliminary reports indicate Perry was traveling northbound when the truck, moving southbound, attempted a U-turn, leading to the collision.
FCPD officials stated that speed may have played a role in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
