PORTAGE, Mich. — A motorcyclist sustained critical injuries in a collision with a car at Shaver Road and Vanderbilt Avenue.
The crash occurred around 1:50 p.m. on Monday.
According to the Portage Department of Public Safety, a 53-year-old man was heading south on Shaver Road when he struck a vehicle that was turning north from Vanderbilt Avenue.
The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Authorities reported that the incident is under investigation by the Portage Department of Public Safety Accident Reconstruction Team as of Monday evening.
