LINCOLN, NE — A motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a box truck at approximately 9:00 a.m. on September 20, 2023, on Old Cheney Road.
Authorities reported the incident occurred at the intersection of Old Cheney Road and 58th Street, near Nebraska Parkway.
According to preliminary information, the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound when the box truck, turning onto 58th Street, collided with the motorcycle.
Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist from the scene with serious injuries; no additional injuries were reported. As of now, no charges or citations have been issued, and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
The intersection experienced temporary lane closures while emergency services managed the scene.
