LA PUENTE, Calif. (KABC) — A motorcyclist died in a collision with a minivan Thursday morning at the intersection of East Amar Road and North Evanwood Avenue.
The crash was reported at 5:45 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene; their identity has not yet been released. The condition of the minivan driver remains unknown.
Witnesses reported that the minivan was operated by an undercover officer from the Alhambra Police Department. Authorities have been contacted for further information regarding the incident.
Aerial footage showed a black tent typically used to cover a body at the crash site. The motorcycle lay on its side beside the minivan, which sustained significant damage to its left side. However, it is unclear if this damage was a result of the collision.
Investigators are looking into the cause of the crash.
No lane closures have been reported as the scene remains active.
