Motorcyclist killed in Dorset crash.

DORSET — A motorcycle crash on Morse Hill Road resulted in the death of a rider on Sunday night.

Vermont State Police (VSP) responded to the scene at approximately 7 p.m. at the intersection with Kelleher Road. Members of the Dorset Fire Department and Northshire Rescue Squad also provided assistance. The roadway was closed from shortly after 7 p.m. until around 10:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, responders found a 2015 Victory Cross Country Tour motorcycle off the edge of the roadway. The operator, 28-year-old Geoffrey E. Fuller of Danby, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Initial reports indicated that Fuller was traveling east on Morse Hill Road and failed to navigate a curve, leading to the motorcycle leaving the roadway and striking a tree.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and VSP is urging any witnesses to contact the Shaftsbury Barracks at 802-442-5421.
