A motorcyclist died in a four-vehicle accident in Arlington on Friday afternoon.
According to authorities, the crash occurred around 2:41 p.m. at the intersection of Arkansas Lane and Center Street. The motorcyclist, whose identity has not been released, was traveling westbound on Arkansas Lane when he collided with a black Dodge Charger making a right turn at the intersection.
The impact caused the motorcyclist to be thrown from his bike, which subsequently struck a Toyota Corolla. Both the Charger and the motorcycle then hit another vehicle that was stopped at the light.
Authorities reported that excessive speed may have contributed to the incident. No other individuals sustained injuries, and no charges have been filed or citations issued. The investigation is ongoing.
