Motorcyclist Sustains Severe Injuries in New Madrid County Collision.

NEW MADRID COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) – A two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle occurred on U.S. 60 at MO E on Wednesday evening, July 22.

The incident took place just after 5:30 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Authorities reported that a 46-year-old man from Sikeston lost control of his motorcycle, skidded, and was subsequently struck by a westbound SUV.

The motorcyclist was airlifted to a St. Louis hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the SUV, a 35-year-old man from Paris, Tennessee, reported no injuries.

Both the motorcyclist and the SUV driver were wearing helmets and seat belts, respectively, as confirmed by MSHP.

The motorcycle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene, while the SUV sustained minor damage and was driven away.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
