NEW BEDFORD, MA – A 21-year-old man died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle and car collision on Friday night at 9:55 p.m.
Authorities identified the victim as Anthony Navarro Rodriguez of New Bedford. He was found at the intersection of Walnut Street and S Sixth Street, suffering from severe injuries. Emergency Medical Services transported him to a local hospital, where he was later airlifted by Med Flight due to his critical condition.
The crash involved a Saturn sedan, the driver of which remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, according to police. The driver’s identity has not been disclosed.
Rodriguez succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on Sunday. The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office is actively investigating the incident. It remains unclear what led to the crash.
