OGDEN — A 68-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle accident Tuesday on Washington Boulevard.
According to the Ogden City Police Department, the crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. in the 3300 block, involving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a Ford Escape. The motorcycle, operated by Robert Bow, was traveling southbound when the Ford attempted a left turn from a parking lot, resulting in a collision.
Emergency responders from Ogden Fire attempted lifesaving measures, but Bow succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Weber Metro Crash Team has been activated and is investigating the incident.
Authorities emphasized the need for caution on the roads, particularly as summer often sees an increase in traffic accidents. They advised motorists to slow down and remain vigilant for motorcycles and other vulnerable road users.
