FAIRFIELD — A 37-year-old man from New York died in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 95 south in Fairfield on Sunday night, Connecticut State Police reported.
The victim, Jose M. Bautistasoto of Port Chester, was pronounced dead after being transported to Bridgeport Hospital, authorities said.
According to police, the crash occurred around 10:32 p.m. when Bautistasoto, operating a Yamaha motorcycle, struck the rear of a Honda SUV near the rest area entrance. His motorcycle fell on its side, ejecting him from the bike.
Four individuals, two women and two men, were in the Honda SUV but were not injured, investigators confirmed.
Both the motorcycle and SUV were towed from the scene. The fatal crash remains under investigation.
