WHITE LAKE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A motorcycle crash involving a minivan resulted in a fatality on White Lake Road recently.
White Lake Township Police and Fire Departments responded to the incident near Teggerdine Road on June 29 at approximately 5 p.m. Authorities reported that a Dodge Caravan was traveling west on White Lake Road when it collided with a Harley Davidson motorcycle heading east.
The 70-year-old motorcycle rider from Holly sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The 54-year-old minivan driver from Highland was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
According to authorities, the Highland man was arrested after being assessed by medical personnel. The investigation has been referred to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office for potential charges.
Emergency crews closed lanes to secure the area while an investigation is ongoing.
