MARLBORO COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – One person died following a motorcycle crash on Tatum Highway in Marlboro County on Sunday night.
The incident occurred shortly before 9 p.m. at the intersection of Tatum Highway and Tatum Road, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP).
SCHP Master Trooper Hannah Davidson reported the motorcycle was traveling south when the rider lost control and fell onto the roadway.
The driver was transported to a nearby hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries, authorities said. The victim’s identity has not been released.
No additional vehicles were involved in the crash, and the investigation is ongoing.
