STONELICK TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) – One person is dead and another is hospitalized following a motorcycle crash on US Route 50 in Clermont County Thursday night.
The incident occurred just after 10 p.m. in the 1900 block of US Route 50, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Authorities said a 2015 Harley Davidson Street Glide, operated by Robert Dinka, 47, of Batavia, along with passenger Jennifer Birchfield, 41, of Mt. Orab, was traveling eastbound when it failed to navigate a curve.
The motorcycle veered off the right side of the road, struck a ditch, and overturned. Dinka was pronounced dead at the scene.
Birchfield was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, troopers added.
