Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of Virginia Man in Kershaw County
KERSHAW COUNTY, SC — A motorcycle crash on Sunday morning resulted in the death of a Virginia man, according to the Kershaw County Coroner’s Office.
The collision occurred at 7:55 a.m. at the intersection of McBee Highway and Mt. Pisgah Road. Authorities identified the victim as 66-year-old Dennis Roethlisberger of Charlottesville, Virginia. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators reported that Roethlisberger’s motorcycle was traveling east on Mt. Pisgah Road when it entered the intersection and collided with a northbound minivan on McBee Highway. The occupants of the minivan were not injured.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the incident. No further details have been released at this time.
