LAKE COUNTY, Ore. — A motorcycle crash on Highway 140 resulted in a fatality on Thursday morning.
At approximately 9:15 a.m. on June 4, Oregon State Police were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash near milepost 6.
Officials report that a multi-colored KTM motorcycle, operated by 69-year-old John Lester Hunter from Donnelly, Idaho, was traveling eastbound when it veered off the roadway and struck a tree.
Hunter was pronounced dead at the scene.
The highway remained open during the investigation, and OSP was supported by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
