HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) — A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Ellicott City on June 28 at approximately 7:30 p.m., according to Howard County Police.
The accident occurred as a 2008 Yamaha FZ1 was traveling eastbound on Baltimore National Pike at Frederick Road. The rider, an adult male, was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved, authorities confirmed. Preliminary investigations suggest that speed may have contributed to the accident, and the inquiry is ongoing.
Eastbound Baltimore National Pike was closed for about two hours while emergency personnel responded and cleared the scene.
