RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – UPDATED AT 3:35 P.M.: On Sunday, July 26, at 10:46 a.m., a fatal vehicle-motorcycle crash occurred at South McCarran Boulevard and Manzanita Lane, according to the Reno Police Department.
Initial reports indicate a vehicle turned left in front of a motorcycle, resulting in a collision. The 21-year-old female motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained on-site and is cooperating with investigators. The identity of the motorcycle rider is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The roadway has since reopened. The Reno Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is leading the investigation, seeking any witnesses who did not remain at the scene.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Earlier, a fatal crash involving a vehicle and motorcycle closed McCarran Boulevard between Greensboro Drive and Skyline Boulevard in both directions, according to a police announcement at 11:53 a.m.
