Twin City Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident
TWIN CITY, GA – Samuel “Sam” Lester Brown, 66, died June 20, 2024, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Authorities confirmed the accident occurred on a local roadway, though specific details regarding the crash site remain under investigation. Emergency medical personnel responded promptly, providing aid at the scene. No additional injuries or fatalities were reported.
Brown, a decorated military veteran, was born August 11, 1957, in Augusta to Alvah Brown, Jr. and Mabel Allmond Brown, both deceased. He served in the United States Army, retiring as a chaplain’s assistant after 39 years of dedicated service, including two tours post-9/11.
He is survived by his wife Kathy, son Ian and daughter-in-law Céline, daughter Jenni and son-in-law Michael, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Twin City Methodist Church, with visitation starting at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Noonday Cemetery with full military honors.
