A 22-year-old motorcyclist died in a collision with a tow truck in Scituate, Rhode Island, on Friday night around 10 p.m.
According to Scituate Police, the incident occurred on Tunk Hill Road when the tow truck was exiting a driveway with its emergency lights activated. The motorcyclist, traveling westbound, could not stop in time to avoid the collision.
The motorcyclist, whose identity has not been disclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene. The tow truck driver sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital.
Authorities reported that speed may have been a contributing factor to the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
