Fatal Motorcycle Crash on U.S. Route 2 in Middlesex Claims One Life
MIDDLESEX, Vt. — A 49-year-old man from Northfield died following a motorcycle crash on U.S. Route 2 on Saturday evening.
The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. when Paul Lavalley was traveling south on Route 2. According to Vermont State Police, Lavalley lost control of his motorcycle, went off the roadway, and struck a wall of a nearby driveway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency responders from the Vermont State Police and Middlesex Fire Department arrived promptly. There were no witnesses to the crash, and authorities have not determined Lavalley’s speed at the time of the incident.
