- A motorcyclist died Saturday after a crash involving two motorcycles on Route 6 in Sandwich.

A motorcyclist succumbed to injuries sustained in a collision with another motorcycle on Route 6 east in Sandwich, according to Massachusetts State Police. The crash occurred around 11:40 a.m.
Authorities reported that one motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead. The second motorcyclist suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Bourne Barracks for questioning.
Route 6 was briefly closed but has since reopened, state police confirmed.
The crash is under investigation, with no further details available at this time.
Recent Incidents on Route 6
In January, 19-year-old Concetta Sherman of Centerville died in a one-car crash on Route 6 west in Barnstable.
Earlier this year, on March 31, six individuals, including five students, were hospitalized following a van crash on Route 6 westbound near Exit 65, according to the West Barnstable Fire Department.
On Friday, a UPS driver was cited after crashing into two other vehicles on Route 6 in Wellfleet.
