HOWLAND – A motorcyclist was hospitalized following a collision with an SUV on State Route 46 at North River Road early Tuesday morning.
The accident occurred shortly after 7 a.m., prompting response from the HOWLAND FIRE DEPARTMENT and the OHIO STATE HIGHWAY PATROL. First responders arrived to find both vehicles severely damaged, with the motorcyclist down on the ground.
Authorities confirmed that the motorcyclist was the only individual transported to a hospital in Youngstown, though details on the extent of injuries remain unverified. A second ambulance was dispatched but did not transport any additional patients.
Traffic on State Route 46 was rerouted for approximately one hour while emergency crews managed the scene. An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing, according to the OHIO STATE HIGHWAY PATROL.
