Sycamore motorcyclist seriously injured and charged after crashing into guard wire on telephone pole.

OREGON, Ill. (WIFR) – A motorcycle crash involving a Sycamore man resulted in serious injuries on Sunday night, July 12, according to authorities.

Eric J. Bryer, 49, has been charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol and aggravated driving with a revoked license.

At approximately 9 p.m., Ogle County deputies were dispatched to the 2600 block of W. Oregon Trail Rd. for a motorcycle accident.

Bryer was reportedly traveling westbound when he lost control, veered into a ditch, and collided with a telephone pole’s guard wire.

He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries and has since been charged and released with a notice to appear in court.

Emergency response included assistance from the Mount Morris Fire Department, Oregon Police Department, and Mount Morris Police Department.
