Three Dead, Two Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Prince George’s County
Three individuals were killed and two others injured late Tuesday night in a collision involving two cars and a motorcycle at New Hampshire Avenue and Metzerott Road.
According to Prince George’s County police, officers responded around 11:25 p.m. The motorcyclist and two passengers from one car were pronounced dead at the scene, while two occupants from a third vehicle were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The motorcycle was left severely damaged at the intersection, and one of the cars veered off the road into a fence, sustaining significant damage. The other car also exhibited front-end damage.
Authorities closed New Hampshire Avenue for approximately six hours following the incident, reopening it Wednesday morning at 5 a.m.
Prince George’s County police are currently investigating the cause of the crash. This incident marks the second fatal motorcycle accident in the county within the same week.
