Orange County, Texas – An elderly couple from Duson, Louisiana, died in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 10 on Sunday morning.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. near the 868-mile marker on Interstate 10 East.
The couple was riding a three-wheeled motorcycle towing a small trailer when a rear tire blew out, causing the vehicle to strike a concrete barrier.
Authorities reported that the driver, 71-year-old Michael Douvio, was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, 69-year-old Lynette Douvio, was airlifted to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to her injuries.
