A multi-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County on Saturday afternoon resulted in the death of a McCalla man.
The accident occurred at approximately 2:51 p.m. on Eastern Valley Road near Foster Road, about three miles north of Woodstock. Jeffrey T. Hunter, 66, was riding a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he collided with a 2012 Honda Civic driven by 21-year-old Michel Yahir Lopez Prudoth of Jacksonville, Fla. Hunter was ejected from the motorcycle and subsequently struck by a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 67-year-old Carl J. Bartlett, also of McCalla. Hunter was pronounced dead at the scene.
An 8-year-old passenger in the Chevrolet was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained injuries, prompting transport to a local hospital for treatment.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division is investigating the crash. No further details are available at this time.
