BATTLE CREEK, MI – A serious motorcycle crash at Raymond Road and East Emmett Street left a 20-year-old man critically injured Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency crews, including BATTLE CREEK POLICE, LifeCare Ambulance, and BATTLE CREEK FIRE, responded around 3:30 p.m. Authorities reported that the motorcycle, traveling southbound, collided with a pickup truck driven by a 77-year-old man from Emmett Township. The motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment.
Preliminary investigations indicate that excessive speed may have contributed to the crash. The BATTLE CREEK POLICE ACCIDENT RECONSTRUCTION TEAM is leading the ongoing investigation, but no additional details regarding those involved have been released.
