Two Motorcyclists Killed in Highway 450 Crash Near Wright, WY
CASPER, Wyo. — Two Wyoming residents died Wednesday in a head-on collision on Highway 450 near Wright at approximately 8:10 a.m.
Authorities identified the victims as Ricky Lynch, 74, and Steven Layman, 68. According to the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, a truck drifted into the motorcycle lane, resulting in the fatal crash.
Emergency responders from the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and Wyoming Highway Patrol were at the scene shortly after the incident. Both riders were pronounced dead at the site of the accident. Weather conditions were reported clear, and the road was dry at the time.
The investigation is ongoing, with driver inattention being examined as a possible factor. Authorities stated that intoxication is not believed to be a contributing cause.
