Two people were critically injured in a motorcycle crash in Torrington on Saturday night.
Emergency crews responded to Winsted Road (State Route 800) near Sinkhole Bridge at 7:08 p.m. Authorities said a motorcycle traveling southbound lost control, veered off the road, and ejected both the driver and passenger.
The driver, a 58-year-old man from Winsted, sustained life-threatening injuries. He was treated at the scene and transported to Saint Mary’s Hospital, where he is in critical but stable condition. The passenger, a 54-year-old woman from Torrington, was evaluated at the scene and subsequently airlifted to Hartford Hospital by LifeStar; her condition is also critical but stable.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
