Two-Vehicle Collision on I-10 Leaves One Dead, Several Injured
MOBILE, AL – A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 near mile marker 24 occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. on October 15, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), a sedan and a pickup truck collided in the westbound lanes. One occupant of the sedan, identified as a 38-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other individuals sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Emergency responders, including the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department and the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, were dispatched to the site to manage the situation and assist the injured.
Authorities closed two westbound lanes of I-10 for approximately three hours while the scene was investigated and cleared, leading to significant traffic delays. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by ALEA.
