Two-Vehicle Collision in Campbellsville Leaves Two Dead
CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY – A two-vehicle collision at Campbellsville Bypass near Walmart on October 3 resulted in two fatalities.
According to Kentucky State Police (KSP), the crash occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. EDT. Ann Copass, 57, of Greensburg, was making a left turn onto Campbellsville Bypass in a 2012 Nissan Versa when she entered the path of a northbound 2025 Suzuki motorcycle operated by 35-year-old Christopher Penoyer of Campbellsville.
The motorcycle struck the Nissan’s driver’s side, resulting in severe injuries. Ms. Copass was pronounced dead at the scene by the Taylor County Coroner. Mr. Penoyer was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities reported that KSP Post 15 Troopers were assisted by the Campbellsville Police Department, Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, Campbellsville Fire/EMS, and the Kentucky State Highway Department. The investigation is ongoing, led by Senior Trooper Brandon Roark.
