MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two motorcyclists were hospitalized, including one critically injured, following a crash on Interstate 40 in Memphis on Tuesday morning.
According to the Memphis Police Department (MPD), the incident occurred just after 7:30 a.m. on westbound I-40 near Sycamore View Road. Emergency responders arrived to find two male motorcyclists suffering injuries, with one in critical condition.
MPD reported that the second rider’s injuries were less severe, and he was expected to recover.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reported that the left three lanes of the interstate were closed as a result of the accident. No additional details regarding the circumstances of the crash have been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
