Two Motorcyclists Injured in New Hampshire Crash with Police Cruiser.

TAMWORTH, N.H. — Two motorcyclists were injured in a crash involving a police cruiser on Saturday afternoon, authorities confirmed.

New Hampshire State Police reported that the incident occurred around 2:41 p.m. near Page Hill Road. A Tamworth Police Department cruiser, operated by 51-year-old Officer Peter Beede, collided with a 2025 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by 28-year-old Peter Anastos of Laconia while Beede was making a U-turn.

Following the initial crash, 28-year-old David Gilson of Ashland, riding a 1999 Triumph motorcycle, lost control and veered off the road. Both Anastos and Gilson sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Officer Beede was reportedly unharmed.

As of Tuesday morning, no charges have been filed in connection with the crash. The roadway was briefly closed while emergency services responded to the scene.

Authorities are asking anyone with further information to contact Trooper Leart Bakraqi at Leart.Bakraqi@dos.nh.gov.
