ST. THOMAS, N.D. (KFGO) — A motorcycle crash in rural Pembina County on Saturday afternoon left a 36-year-old man seriously injured.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist, who was riding with a group, lost control after braking and swerving, crossing the centerline and colliding with a pickup truck.
Both the rider and a 27-year-old female passenger were ejected from the motorcycle. Neither was wearing a helmet. Emergency responders transported both victims to Grafton Hospital, where the rider was later transferred to a facility in Grand Forks for further treatment.
The 27-year-old female driver of the pickup, who is from Louisiana, sustained no injuries in the incident.
Authorities have not indicated if any charges will be filed related to the crash, and an investigation is ongoing. Lane closures were reported in the area during the emergency response.
