CEDAR CITY, Utah, Oct. 6, 2026—A motorcyclist died Monday morning after a collision with a school bus on State Route 56 near Lund Highway.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, 42-year-old Robby Bruce was struck while attempting a left turn on a yellow-arrow traffic signal. The bus was traveling east at the time of the incident.
Bruce sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No children were on the bus during the collision. He was reportedly wearing a helmet and protective gear at the time, as confirmed by authorities.
A fundraising account has been set up for Bruce’s fiancé, Chanelle Norris, to assist with financial burdens following his death. Friends and family described Bruce as a devoted father and partner, emphasizing the challenges his family now faces, including caring for their two young children.
