A 28-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run incident on the ramp from westbound Interstate 64 to southbound Interstate 95 shortly before midnight on Friday.
According to the Virginia State Police, Ashtain Noel Davis of Petersburg was riding a 2025 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he was struck by a dark-colored SUV. Authorities reported that the impact threw Davis from his vehicle, and he died at the scene.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after the crash, but Davis was pronounced dead upon their arrival. Police confirmed that he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
