A 40-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash in Marshfield, Vermont, on Tuesday night.
According to Vermont State Police, troopers responded at 9:32 p.m. to a report of a single motorcycle crash near US Route 2 and Onion River Road. The operator, identified as Christopher Skinner of Plainfield, was found unresponsive.
Emergency responders performed CPR, but Skinner was pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary investigations indicate that Skinner was riding his Suzuki GSX600FK east when he navigated a left curve too wide, causing the motorcycle to leave the roadway. The bike collided with road signs, a guardrail, and a parked vehicle, resulting in fatal injuries.
Authorities noted that the road was wet and foggy at the time of the incident. The crash is under active investigation, and witnesses are urged to contact Vermont State Police at 802-229-9191 for any information.
